Black Women's Wealth Lab LLC ("BWWL," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website blackwomenswealthlab.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

• Contact information: name and email address when you register for webinars, download resources, subscribe to our email list, or submit a contact form
• Payment information: billing details when you purchase digital products or book a Value Audit. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number on our servers.
• Professional and career data: career history, compensation details, consulting rates, and intellectual property information you provide during the Value Audit intake process
• Communications: messages you send through our contact form

We also collect information automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, time on site, referring URLs, and device/browser type via standard analytics tools
• Cookies: we use essential cookies to keep the site functional and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our pages

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver products, services, and resources you've purchased or requested
• Conduct Value Audits and prepare your deliverables (Invoice Number, Evidence Portfolio, Revenue Diagnosis, 90-Day Strategic Action Plan)
• Send email communications related to your purchases, registrations, and downloads
• Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form
• Improve our website and services based on usage patterns

3. How We Protect Your Information

Value Audit data is confidential. We do not share your career history, compensation details, Invoice Number, or any audit deliverables with third parties. Period.

We use SSL encryption on all pages. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We use email service providers (Kit/ConvertKit) to deliver emails, and webinar hosting (Demio) for live sessions. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their function.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may receive limited data:

• Stripe: payment processing
• Kit (ConvertKit): email delivery
• Demio: webinar hosting and registration
• Netlify: website hosting and form submissions
• Acuity Scheduling: Value Audit booking

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Ever.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email
• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your personal information, but you may still make this request)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@blackwomenswealthlab.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 30 days (or 45 days for California residents, as required by law).

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

6. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information.

Categories of personal information we collect:

• Identifiers: name, email address, billing address
• Commercial information: purchase history, products purchased
• Professional information: career history, compensation data, consulting rates, intellectual property details (Value Audit intake only)
• Internet activity: pages visited, device type, browser type, referring URLs

Sale or sharing of personal information: We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your California rights: You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of sale or sharing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@blackwomenswealthlab.com.

7. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a security breach involving your personal information, we will notify affected individuals as required by North Carolina law (G.S. § 75-65) and any other applicable state or federal laws. Notification will be provided without unreasonable delay, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Value Audit data is retained for 3 years to support follow-up engagements, unless you request earlier deletion. Purchase records are retained as required for accounting and tax purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
