The Evidence Readiness Score

Memory is not a record. If you had to defend your case in a room where no one already believes you, what would be on paper?

What this reveals. One score: whether your written evidence (accomplishments, metrics, third-party validation, benchmarks, timeline) would survive scrutiny in a comp conversation, a promotion case, or a performance dispute.

What it does not do. It does not draft your case or interpret the strength of any specific document. It flags where the evidence exists, where it is thin, and where it is absent.

Question 01 of 05

Do you have a written record of your accomplishments over the past 12 months?

Not the calendar. Not the inbox. A dedicated record of what you delivered, when, and for whom.

Yes, maintained regularly and current
Yes, but sporadic or partial
Only what shows up in performance reviews
Nothing written; it lives in memory
Question 02 of 05

Do your accomplishments carry specific metrics tied to your work?

Numbers. Percentages. Dollar impacts. Attribution to your work rather than to your team or a broader initiative.

Specific numbers with clear attribution
Metrics present, attribution shared with team
General improvements described without numbers
Qualitative only"Contributed to," "supported," "helped"
Question 03 of 05

Do you have written third-party validation of your work?

Emails, feedback, notes, or endorsements from peers, upstream leadership, or downstream stakeholders. In writing, attributable, saved.

Multiple, specific, saved
A few, but general in tone
Verbal praise, no written record
Nothing in writing
Question 04 of 05

Do you reference comparable role benchmarks or salary bands?

Published salary bands, peer comp data, comparable job descriptions, sourced and cited.

Yes, multiple sources cited
Single source, cited
General awareness, uncited
No benchmarks in your case
Question 05 of 05

Is your delivery timeline documented?

When each contribution happened, in what quarter, at what cadence. A record that shows continuity rather than a single moment.

Quarter-by-quarter timeline documented
Major milestones dated
Approximate timeframes
No timeline documented

where your evidence stands against a decision-maker

What this reveals

-

Each dimension below is a category of evidence a decision-maker looks for when the comp conversation, promotion case, or performance review begins. Missing dimensions do not make your work less valuable: they make the value harder to defend without you in the room.

Where the score comes from
Written record of accomplishments-
Specific metrics with attribution-
Third-party validation in writing-
Comparable-role benchmarks-
Delivery timeline documented-
Where the gaps are

-

Assumptions used: your descriptions of each evidence dimension. The score reflects your descriptions. It does not evaluate the specific documents you have.

This assessment organizes the evidence supporting your proposed financial position and identifies records or claims that need attention. The score reflects the assessment criteria; it does not predict the other party's decision.

If a compensation discussion is approaching, Decision Desk™ can examine the contribution behind your ask, its financial significance, and the assumptions your records can support.

Bring one date to the Review: the submission or discussion date, whichever requires preparation first. If it is not set, say so.

Review the evidence behind my ask

The Private Decision Review determines whether the Decision Desk™ is appropriate for the decision in front of you. The Decision Desk™ investment is $5,000, invoiced after acceptance. Nothing is charged for the Review, and submitting it creates no obligation on either side. You remain the decision-maker and negotiator.

Decision Guide

What is happening that brought you here today?

BWWL®’s automated guide helps you identify a useful next step. Please omit names and confidential information.

How your information is used
  • This is an automated guide, not a conversation with Cynthia. What it says it understood is not her judgment. It does not calculate, value, or predict anything.
  • To respond, what you type is sent, with the guide’s running summary, to Anthropic’s language service, which interprets it. The Lab does not keep it for that purpose. Anthropic keeps requests for 30 days and does not use them to train its models. That is separate from BWWL®’s research retention below, which happens only if you accept.
  • Nothing is kept by the Lab unless, after your recommendation, you accept a separate research permission. Declining, or leaving the page, keeps nothing. Your words never enter the page address, your browser’s storage, or analytics.
  • If you accept, the conversation, the guide’s summary, the suggestion you were shown, and the time are kept for 24 months, with no name, email, or identifier. Research permission is separate from email marketing and from any public use of your words.
  • No contact information is needed to receive a recommendation.
