For women who have been paid a salary to solve problems companies hire consultants for…

In 90 Minutes,
Turn One Proven Professional Win
Into a Business Case
a Potential Buyer Can Understand.

Leave with your Billable Win Brief: the result you produced, the evidence behind it, and its connection to a potential buyer’s problem.

The Billable Win is a 90-minute live working session.

This is not a listen-and-leave webinar.

But unlike every free webinar you’ve sat through, you’re not going to leave with a pep talk. We are going to work. You’re going to bring one win you already produced.

We’re going to separate the job you were hired to do from what you actually created, implemented, managed, and fixed along the way. And you’re going to walk out with a one-page brief that makes that win commercially legible, connects it to a buyer problem, and prepares you to start the right conversation. Sound fair?

Quiz: Is The Billable Win right for you?

01

You have spent decades inside a company, and you are only now considering consulting. You don’t know where to start.

That is why we’re here. You are not starting from scratch, no matter what it feels like from where you’re sitting. Everything you need is already inside work somebody paid you to do. Your first job isn’t to build something new. It’s to find the one win worth selling.

02

You are already consulting, and your offer sounds like everybody else’s. So you end up competing on price.

Most women do, and it isn’t because the work is the same. It’s always better to be different than it is to be better, and the only thing nobody else can copy is your record. That is where we start.

03

You built the framework. You wrote the book. You have run the programs and you have the results to prove it. What you don’t have is a way to say it that makes a company see the value and open the budget.

That is not a talent gap. It’s a translation gap, and they are not the same problem. You already did the expensive part. What’s left is naming what you solved, what it produced, and who else has that problem right now.

If you recognized yourself in any of those, you are in the right room.

What You Will Do in the Session

  1. 01

    Bring one proven win

Start with a professional result you already produced. You do not need to reconstruct your entire career.

  2. 02

Work it through the Billable Win method

Examine the win through a structured commercial lens, using the guided prompts provided to registered participants.

  3. 03

Complete your private Billable Win Brief

Leave with one finished working document built around the win you brought.

You do not need another list of everything you have done.

You need to identify a result a buyer can understand, show exactly what you did to produce it, and connect that result to a problem worth solving again.

Five layers of a track record. Each one answers a different commercial question.
LayerWhat it establishesCommercial role
ResponsibilityWhat the role was expected to own, whether or not it produced a measurable result.Context
ActivityWhat you spent time doing. It may be important, but effort alone does not show what changed.Effort
Specific contributionThe decisions, actions, judgment, or assets you can reasonably attribute to your part in the work.Attribution
OutcomeWhat changed as a result of the work.Result
Commercial relevanceWhy a buyer facing the same problem may be willing to pay for a similar result.Offer foundation

Stop describing your experience. Start showing what changed.

Somebody asks what you do, and you have about eight seconds to answer. What comes out?

And by the second sentence, can you already hear that it isn’t landing?

It isn’t landing because every sentence you have is a description, and descriptions don’t have prices. Here are the three you have almost certainly used.

“I have 20 years of experience.”

That’s a tenure claim, not an economic one. It tells them how long, and length is not a value. Worse, time is the one thing a buyer already assumes they’re paying for, so you’ve just told them something they already budgeted for. Twenty years is an input. They buy outputs.

“I’ve worked across several industries.”

You mean it as range. They hear it as unfocused. Breadth tells them you have been near their problem. It does not tell them you have made their problem go away, and that is the only question in their head while they decide whether to take the meeting.

“I can do strategy, operations, training, leadership, and more.”

Now they have to diagnose themselves and then pick off your menu, and they are not going to do either one. A confused mind does nothing. McDonald’s doesn’t sell crème brûlée. They sell hamburgers, and every person who pulls into that parking lot knows exactly what they came for.

All of that may be true. None of it tells a buyer what changed.

That is why we spend ninety minutes on one win instead of twenty years.

The constraints you need to finally say what you sell.

You have been meaning to sort this out for a while. It moves from quarter to quarter and never quite reaches the top of the list, because there is always a client or a deadline or somebody else’s emergency in front of it.

You already know the work was worth more than you were paid for it. That part is not in question. You would not be reading this if it were.

So the reason it hasn’t happened is not discipline, and it is not confidence. Nobody ever handed you a method. There’s no class for this. You cannot Google your way to it, and the people selling you a mindset for it are selling the wrong thing.

Every woman who tries this alone runs into the same 10 problems:

  1. Picking the win
  2. Separating your part from the team’s
  3. Naming the problem underneath it
  4. Activity, not outcome
  5. Proof that won’t hold up
  6. Guessing at the buyer
  7. Sounding interchangeable
  8. The menu answer
  9. Saying it out loud
  10. Never testing it

What makes a win billable.

A billable win connects documented contribution to an economic mechanism. Nine mechanisms count.

  1. 01Revenue generated or enabled
  2. 02Cost reduced or avoided
  3. 03Risk prevented or reduced
  4. 04Time saved
  5. 05Retention improved
  6. 06Growth enabled
  7. 07Systems or infrastructure built
  8. 08Relationships or access secured
  9. 09Intellectual contribution created

This working session does

  • Makes one win commercially legible
  • Organizes the evidence behind it
  • Connects it to a plausible buyer problem
  • Produces a Billable Win Brief

This working session does not

  • Build the complete consulting offer
  • Establish a final contract price
  • Value the participant’s complete portfolio
  • Install a client-acquisition system
  • Guarantee a contract or revenue outcome

The Billable Win stops before pricing. It does not set your final rate, value your full portfolio, or guarantee a buyer’s decision. It gives you the commercially legible evidence from which those later decisions can be made.

Questions

Is this for me if I am starting from scratch?

Yes. The session assumes you have a professional record, not a consulting practice. You bring one win somebody paid you to produce, and the work starts there.

What if I do not know the financial value of my win?

You do not need a dollar figure. The session names the economic mechanism behind the win, which is a different question from what it was worth. Portfolio-level valuation is not part of these 90 minutes.

What should I bring?

One win you already produced, and whatever records of it you can put your hands on: the brief, the numbers, the emails, the deck, the before and after. The guided pre-work, sent immediately after purchase, walks you through choosing it.

Is this only for consultants?

No. It is for women who have been paid a salary to solve the problems companies hire consultants for, whether or not they have started consulting.

Will I leave with a complete offer?

No. You leave with a Billable Win Brief for one win. The offer, the price, the buyer strategy, and the sales process are built later, not in these 90 minutes.

Will there be a replay?

No. The Billable Win is a live working session, and no replay will be provided. Please register only if you can attend live on September 30.

What is the refund policy?

All sales are final. If Black Women’s Wealth Lab® cancels the session, your registration fee will be refunded.
